AI Assistant Settings

The script editor can pass your prompt to an AI CLI agent you already use (Claude Code, Codex CLI, Gemini CLI, a local model in ollama) and paste the answer back through a preview. Stealth is not an AI provider: it keeps no keys and no tokens, and the agent handles its own login. Full description - the AI assistant manual.

Items:

  • Enable the AI assistant in the script editor (Ctrl+Shift+A) - master switch, off by default. Enabling it for an external provider shows a one-time privacy warning naming what is sent.
  • Preset - a named set of the fields below (Claude Code, Codex CLI, Gemini CLI, ollama, plus your own from [AI.Preset.<Name>] sections of Stealth.ini). (custom) means the fields match no preset. The label next to it says whether the code leaves the machine.
  • Command - the agent binary. A bare name is looked up in PATH (and in the known install folders of the supported agents); a full path also works.
  • Arguments - arguments of the agent. The prompt itself is fed through stdin, not as an argument.
  • Work dir - working directory of the agent. Empty = the Stealth folder.
  • Timeout, s - how long to wait for the answer before the agent is killed. 0 means no limit: only Cancel stops it.
  • Agent has file tools - the agent can read files, so it gets the path to the API docs folder instead of pages pasted into the prompt.
  • Local model - the provider runs locally; nothing leaves the machine and no privacy warning is shown.
  • Compile the DWS draft before the preview, one repair round - compiles the generated code before showing it, and asks the agent to fix compile errors once. DWS only.
  • Revision round against API pages - after the draft is generated, sends back the docs of the methods it actually called and asks to re-check them. Used only when the agent has no file tools.
  • Check button - runs the agent with a one-word test prompt and reports the result: found / not found, logged in or not, timeout, exit code. The full verdict is in the tooltip of the status line.
